With a BS in mathematics from U of L with a concentration in probability, statistics and actuarial sciences, I have circled the real estate field since 2007.  Initially, I worked for Commonwealth Hotels, Management group for Hyatt, Marriott and Hilton hotel chains, opening new hotel properties in Denver.  This is where I first learned that I love construction – the numbers of it, training and working with construction teams to meet the opening day deadlines of 3 hotels and closing out the projects.

 Moving back to Louisville, I worked for a well-known local upscale builder/remodeler for several years, where I managed both corporate accounting and client cost data for new construction and remodeling projects.  Project supervision and working with clients and architects developed my appreciation for the human aspect of the real estate industry – I loved the art of marrying clients wishes with architectural design, practicality and structural integrity, all within my client’s given budget.  While working on the television show “Fix it and Finish It”, a co-worker and I developed a seamless relationship which would ultimately further my career development where together we would use our expertise and broaden our horizons.

 With a combined 15 years of experience, in 2018 my co-worker, April Barrett, and I ventured out and Flame Lily Construction was born.  April, strong in the physical construction development side, particularly with codes and thoughtful living spaces, and my strength in budgeting, purchasing and engineering, during our first year we built and sold a spec home, built a custom home for a client and purchased an abandoned property, shoring up the integrity of the property and remodeling it as a flip.  A natural complement to construction, I completed coursework and became a licensed Realtor in 2019. 

Who trusts me?  Prior clients and friends have begun working with me as both their builder for new construction and remodels as well as their source for the purchase and sales of their existing homes.  I focus on fresh ideas and luxury coupled with affordability and strong structures that are lasting and beautiful.
